:The Business Analyst role will require skills in business analysis, systems analysis, documentation of business requirements, solution recommendation, and decision making. This role must possess an understanding of insurance industry products, sales concepts, and business development process. The ideal candidate has worked on several projects from the SDLC, starting with requirements gathering, through the successful implementation of said projectsSupports the Agency Technology Line of Business aligned IT Strategy function, which is responsible for understanding business priorities, supporting strategic and innovative thinking through clear articulation of IT Capabilities, and managing expectations on the development and delivery of IT Services
:Interact with business, conduct analysis and document business processes, functions, capabilities, requirements, etc., enabled by IT
:Performs a liaison between the business and IT Services
:Identify and articulate the need for change and assessing the impact of the change
:Elicit, document, prepare and manage business requirements package for stakeholder sign:off and delivery to technical teams (who will translate into technical requirements and artifacts for solution design and delivery
:Establish meaningful traceability between related requirements
:Translate and simplify requirements
:Documented requirement artifacts should utilize industry standard diagram techniques to enhance the clarity of definition, including: process flows, context diagrams, use cases, wireframes, etc
:Verify that the implemented solution meets the requirements
:Write clear and concise requirements ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
:Support project managers to ensure key deliverables are met in an accurate timely manner assisting in the troubleshooting of problems and issues; make recommendations and provide alternative solutions when it applies.
:Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Education / Training
:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Math and/or equivalent work experience
:Business Analysis CBAP or equivalent certification a plus
:3:5+ years of relevant experience within the insurance and/or financial service industry.
:3:5+ years of business analysis experience
:Demonstrated ability to understand, articulate and document business requirements
:Demonstrate ability to deliver, within budget, quality solutions while coordinating multiple assignments / deadlines
:Experience in working in a team:based agile or waterfall development environment
:Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies as the need arise
