Job Description

A qualified anesthesia professional involved in the administration of anesthesia and related services as delineated by the clinical and nonclinical responsibilities described herein. Qualifications Holds current state license as a registered nurse in the state of New York, and complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing. Contract Employee must be able to promptly and properly respond to cardiopulmonary arrests and arrange appropriate backup from the HRP clinical staff. Shall possess Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Suport (PALS) certifications provided by the American Heart Association (AHA) that shall be maintained in a status always while performing services under this contract. Any fees associated with the renewal or maintaining the certifications shall be the contractor's responsibility. The contractor shall provide appropriate documentation relative to certification/recertification dates and biannual anniversaries of certification dates to the COR. Must Demonstrate age-specific competency in the care of adult and pediatric patients. A graduate of a State or territory of the United States accredited nursing degree or program with at least 3 years' experience as a Registered Professional Nurse. (Copy of certification and license required). Complies with one of the following requirements regarding certification eligibility, initial certification, or recertification: Is currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists or its predecessor; or Is currently recertified by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.
